What we like about the Thunderhammer belt buckle

Vikings have always been fascinating to history buffs, and are now enjoying mainstream attention thanks to the brilliant TV show on the History channel, as well as the Marvel movies. So we probably don’t need to spend many words on introducing you to Mjølnir, the hammer of the norse god of thunder, Thor. Instead we prefer to focus on the incredible craftsmanship displayed by the jewelry makers at Alchemy Gothic in England, who truly surpassed themselves with the fine carvings and delicate sculpting that went into this belt buckle. Scrolls with futhark runes scripture, viking art flourishes in the Mammen style and a pommel that is shaped like a longship, the level of research and authenticity that went into this design are truly commendable. Even the black stone inlays are sculpted with details.
