US Gothic Store - for customers from the UNITED States - AFO and APO welcome

Our US gothic store offers the same range of gothic, punk and cyber clothing our international shop offers, with the difference that shipping destinations have been set up to match the specifics of the US - this means we are able to accept APO / AFO addresses, and also our currencies have been set to accept US dollars as payment. Also, instead of showing sizes in centimeters, as we do in our international gothic store, we show sizes in inches, which is very convenient when unsure if the clothes will fit you or not. These minor differences are very convenient though, and have made shopping for clothing at The Black Angel a lot easier for many customers from the States, from West Coast to East cost - and of course let’s not forget the “Middle Coast” either! We are happy to welcome everybody, from the Californian Deathrockers, to the Floridian Skater-Punks, everybody will find some black clothes with attitude in our store.

Our international gothic clothing store is our main website, it is made for all customers from Europe, Canada, Australia & NZ, Japan, and all other countries where we ship clothes, apart from the US and Germany. It is our “biggest” website and it’s where most people go to order their outfits. This online shop went online in the middle of 2002 and has since come a long way, constantly improving our range of gothic clothing and also the features offered, like multiple photos for every item, large photos so you can see details, easy navigation and secure shopping basket, our website continually innovates and improves to make sure you get the best service available.

Germany is the country with the most active gothic scene in Europe, and it is where we have our roots too, so having a gothic store dedicated to providing the local scene with clothing is an obvious tribute to where we come from. We have been a part of the German gothic scene for many years prior to opening our store, so it is a special pleasure to pay the scene back by offering them the best clothes and service in a dedicated shop. DIFFERENT GOTHIC CLOTHING STYLES AVAILABLE IN OUR STORE

The clothing we make available in our gothic shop covers a wide range of styles, just like the many facets of the scene itself. There are of course a few stereotypes, with typical outfits and looks, but everyone know there are many more aspects and looks to gothic than the typical lace and velvet look. Cyberpunks, Deathrockers, Batcavers, Greasers, many different subgroups or fringe subcultures are part of the dark scene, and they all have their own styles and looks - and we have the matching clothes in our store.

Modern Gothic (Punk & Fetish) clothing styles

The “modern” goth look is a mixture of elements taken from other subgenres, with parts of the old school deathrock look, combined with fetish elements, a little bit of punk here and there. Bondage trousers with lots of buckles, straps and rings are combined with mesh items, tops with safety pins and other studded clothes. This gothic clothing is not only black, it also has a riotous attitude to go along.

Classic / Romantic Gothic clothes in our shop

The famous gothic look that is commonly associated with the dark scene, the romantic black creatures in velvet and lace fluttering around cemeteries during fullmoon nights… or something along these lines, according to popular belief. Truth is, the classic gothic look consists of elaborate outfits made from noble materials like velvet, satin and lace, tastefully combined and inspired by romantic ideals. Elaborately ornate jewelry like chokers and bracelets, gloves and parasols are as much part of the gothic look than the clothing itself.

Visual Kei / Gothic Lolita - the clothing trend from Japan

The Japanese gothic scene has had a major impact on the gothic clothing trends worldwide, as two major trends were born in the land of the rising sun: Visual Kei and Gothic Lolita. The first one is famous for its exaggerate and an uncompromising clothing, continually pushing the boundaries of what is known in terms of styling and look. Gothic Lolita, however, has popularized cute clothes with ribbons and bowties, short little skirts and stockings, and is just totals “kawaii” - cute!

EBM / Industrial outfits from our shop- clothing with attitude

The EBM and Industrial scene has regained lots of strength during the last years, and it is not uncommon to see the typical cyberpunk look at gothic parties and festivals. UV piping, rubber padded clothing, plastic falls and goggles are part of the typical cyber outfit, just like danceable bass beats are the trademark music aficionados of this clothing style prefer. And of course we carry some of the finest cyber clothing in our gothic store - top quality and original designs.

Rockabilly clothes - the revival of koolness

You don’t need to know who the Beatniks of Koolsville are to appreciate this kind of clothing - since the Stray Cats spearheaded the rockabilly revival, the gothic scene has developed its own interpretation of rock’n roll attitude, music and outfits in the form of psychobilly and gothabilly. Petticoats with dots, greased hair and station shirts - the rockabilly look is also present with different clothes in our gothic store.
