You have several payment methods available in our gothic shop, three „classics“ when it comes down to paying for your clothing: credit card (Visa, Mastercard,…), Paypal and the good old reliable bank transfer (IBAN & BIC). If you have any questions about these three payment methods, you will certainly find answers here.

HOW TO MAKE A TRANSFER USING IBAN AND BIC ?

Answer: for bank transfers you need IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and BIC (Bank Identifier Codes) , which is the standard for international bank transfers since summer 2001 - it replaces the former SWIFT. The advantages of IBAN and BIC is that this system is not only less expensive, faster and more reliable - it is also a lot easier to use! IBAN and BIC contain all the information necessary for the transfer, everything is contained in these two numbers - no more need for routing or sorting codes, just take these two numbers to your bank and 72 hours later, the funds will arrive safe and sound with us

BUT MY BANK ASKS ME FOR A ROUTING NUMBER - WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Answer: It happens quite often that bank employees will tell you that IBAN and BIC are not enough and ask you for a routing number, or a sorting number, or whatever. That is a big mistake, it is plain wrong. The reason for this is that IBAN and BIC have only been in use since mid-2001, early 2002, so it has only been a few years, which is a short amount of time in the world of finance - many employees have not been schooled properly yet, thus their bewilderment when you show up with just the IBAN and BIC. But there is an easy remedy to the problem: insist! And if that doesn’t help, ask for their supervisor, this works wonders. To sum it up, IBAN and BIC code are enough, you don’t need anything else.

HOW SAFE IS IT TO PAY WITH CREDIT CARD ONLINE ?

Answer: It is common assumption that paying with your credit card online is unsafe or risky, or at very least not as safe as buying from a physical store you can walk into. This might have been true in the early days of internet, but things have changed a lot since. The biggest fear are that the card details could be intercepted, and that you might buy from an unserious or dubious online crook. If those are your fears, we can easily dissipate them:

  • The fear of having your personal data intercepted is unnecessary, trustworthy internet shops like ours rely on state-of-art security technology to make sure your data is safe, like 128 bit PGP encryption - a security level that can’t be hacked, unless you’re being targeted by the CIA or other three-letter-secret-services with infinite resources. So, if you did not make some secret service very angry, your data is 100% safe with us or on any trustworthy website.

  • The fear of entrusting your card details to a merchant you don’t know is unnecessary too, if you let common sense prevail, and take your business to merchants with a good reputation built over many years - then your risk is close to none. Find out what previous customers have to say about the merchant to get a feeling about whom you’re dealing with. We have been in business for over 6 years and have built our reputation by providing gothic clothing from the best brands in this scene, excellent service and fast delivery - but more than anything we could say about ourselves, if you have doubts, read for yourself what our customers have said about us in our “customer testimonials” section.

To sum it up, buying from a merchant with a respectable and trustworthy reputation is just as safe as buying in your local store - except if you buy online, you don’t risk getting your handbag robbed or lose your wallet to a pickpocket.

CAN YOU PROCESS MY CARD FOR ME ?

Answer: Yes. If you want us to manually process your card, we can do so. This service is available to customers who have problems processing the payment online, or who are placing a fax-order from a catalog. In order to do so, we require you to send us following details:

  • Name of cardholder
  • Address of cardholder
  • Card number
  • Expiry date
  • CC2 - that’s the three digits on the back of your card

You should send us these details per fax (+352 2655 2999), which is the safest was to communicate us these details. You should also fax us a copy of your ID card or drivers license, so we can verify that you are the legitimate cardholder, and you should include a signed message to us authorizing us to charge the card on your behalf. You can also give us that information through per phone, by calling our offices between 2pm and 6pm GMT+1, our operators speak English, German and French - the number is +352 2655 2999.

You could of course also send us your card details per email, but we can’t stress enough that emails are not the safest means of communication. Although we have every possible security measure in place on our side, there is no guarantee that the email can’t be intercepted on it’s way to us. Therefore we recommend, should you decide nonetheless to send you your details per email, split up the card number and the other card details into two separate emails, the chance of both being intercepted is a lot smaller than sending everything together. But we still do not recommend using this method, you really should either fax or phones us.

CAN YOU CHARGE MY CARD AGAIN, LATER ?

Answer: No. Online payments carried out through our online payment gateway are handled entirely by our payment provider, the data is confidential and we don’t receive any card details. This means that the amount authorized during the initial transaction is the only amount we can charge. If you want to add items to your order at a later point, we will not be able to charge the difference to your card, you will have to make a new transaction online or send us your card details, as explained further up in the F.A.Q. section.

As for payments made per mail-order, when you fax us your card details, as soon as the transaction has been processed, we will destroy you fax message containing the card details, we do not keep them on file.

CAN I PAY CASH ON DELIVERY ?

Answer: No. Unfortunately we cannot offer cash on delivery as payment method for now. Despite all the EU laws and regulations, there still is no agreement between the various national posts on how to handle cash on delivery, and until there is a uniform method to process this kind of payment, we will not be able to offer it to you.
