The latest update to the gothic clothing range available form our online store includes a lot of new trousers, including some very cool gothic cargo pants. We also have added many new men’s longsleeve tops and shirts, as well as some awesome men’s skirts and kilts.

Happy new year to all you people out there!

We wish our customers all the best for 2009, wherever they are throughout this world. And if you’re not a customer yet, well, how about make it a good resolution for this year to change that!

We are more than proud to present you the new video clip “Russians” of Belgium based goth-metal band Manic Movement. If you are into epic guitars, great melodies and heavenly female vocals, Manic Movement is definitely a band you ought to check out. The song is taken from their next album, Dark Glitter, to be released soon.

Careful observers might have noticed that many of the outfits worn by the guys in this clip are men's clothes sold by your friendly neighborhood gothic shop, yes  -  that’s right  -  by us, The Black Angel. So if you think the band looks great (they do!), you can just browse our store and get yourself one of these outfits too, like the Erlkönig coat.

The Gothic Festival in Waregem, Belgium, was a nice little festival with some amazingly big acts from the dark scene – VNV Nation, Fields of The Nephilim, legends from both the EBM and gothic movements. And they ruled, awesome performances for both bands. Especially Fields, it is always a special pleasure to see them live.

But the secret favorite of ours was without doubt Combichrist, who rocked so hard, it hurt! And it hurt good! A really punishing performance by Andy Laplegua and his two fellow musicians. Compliments to the drummer, who provided just as much show as his frontman!

Otherwise, we were happy to supply this corner of the world with some of our highly demanded cyber goggles and cyberlox. We were completely sold out on these, but the guys and girls from Strawberry Skull have been working very hard for the last two weeks to make sure all you guys will be able to order your own pairs from our gothic shop without having to wait – after all, we are known to be one of the fastest gothic shops online, and we want to keep it this way. Great quality, great prices and even greater speed in delivering the goods!

But enough of that for now, we will post some photos of this event as soon as our staff photographer has sifted through his negatives – be prepared for some great Fields of the Nephilim moments, captured right from the front! Coming soon…

This years edition of the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany, will definitely be remembered as the best one ever. Yes, it was stormy. Yes, it was rainy. Yes, it was hot. Yes, all of these weathers were the same day.

But even if St. Peter had his share of fun with the visitors, the crowd was enthused and having fun, and the bands on stage were awesome as always. Personal favorites this year were without doubt Das Ich, who proved that electronic music can be more than two static guys with laptops.

While we were not able to see many concerts - after all we were there with our stand, representing our shop and busy selling gothic clothing to the eager crowd of old and new customers  - but we really enjoyed that weekend. It was one of the best crowds ever, we met many nice people and had a good time, and already look forward to next years edition! See you there!
