Understanding the size abreviations and which size fits you best

Finding the right size is the hardest part when buying clothing over the internet. This is why we have tried to make things as easy as possible in our gothic store, we will give you all the help you need to find the right size for your clothes. We explain what each size corresponds too, what you need to pay attention too, you can contact our team anytime with your measurements and we will find the best fit for you – and if it should still not fit, our exchanges and returns policy is easy and uncomplicated.

What do these abreviations stand for ?

XS, S, M, L and XL are abbreviations that stand for:

  • XS = extra small
  • S = small
  • M = medium
  • L = large
  • XL = extra large

Size S is for a very slim body build, whereas size M and L will fit most average shaped people. XL is for taller people with a strong build. Please note that these are general references and might vary from item to item. In case of extremely small or large items, this will be noted in the item description. Also, please keep in mind that these are European sizes, which are a bit smaller than US sizes.

Important: because every brand and label has a different way of interpreting the same size, there always are slight differences between clothing with the same sizing label. A size “M” can sometimes be bigger, sometimes smaller. So this chart is not an absolute truth, it is an approximation, it is the averages for the clothing we carry in our gothic shop. Sizes for trousers are always indicated in inches and refer to the waist measurement, just like with a regular jeans size.

Answer: we know how difficult it can be to order clothing over internet, and how big the fear is, that the size would not fit right. This is why we offer you the possibility to send us your measurements per email, we will measure the clothing for you and thus make sure it will fit perfectly well when you receive it, thus avoiding the fear of getting the wrong size, and the hassle of going through an exchange - although our exchanges policy is quite simple and easy. Anyways, in case of doubt, just contact our team and send us an email with your measurements, we will take care of finding the right size for you.
