Exclusive interview & reviews

The Black Angel shop always was the central point of the local gothic scene, a meeting place, a forum for regional events, concerts, parties, bands and other artists. We strive to keep this spirit alive in our online shop, to offer our customers more than excellent gothic clothing and accessories. This is why we feature interviews and news pertaining to artists and events our staff likes and of which we think would be of interest to you too. Enjoy!

Interview : Fantasio Fine Arts

Fantasio might be known to some as regular DJ at the Tortured Souls goth party in Germany, but to connoisseurs of fine arts Fantasio is known as a truly exceptional artist. Interview : Avelina de Moray

The Australian artist Avelina de Moray is not only famous for her interviews with high profile gothic rock acts, she is an amazing painter and fashion designer as well. So let's switch sides, now it's her turn to get interviewed.

Artist Presentation : November7

November-7 are one of the new contenders for the throne of female vocal fronted metal with gothic influence, and have a good shot at taking the crown. In a genre overrun by clones, the original compositions, freshness and live energy make them a rightful heir of the great few bands that pionneered this blend of music.

Album Presentation : "Abnormally attracted to sin" by Tori Amos

Tori Amos is one of these rare artist that dare to stray off the beaten path and deliver intense music, acclaimed by mainstream and underground alike. Whoever has the guts to cover Slayer’s “Reign in Blood” on the piano and pull of such a great result deserves respect and love anyways. So it is with much joy that we announce the release of her latest masterpiece, ABNORMALLY ATTRACTED TO SIN, on May 19th 2009.
